Pilgrim Furniture streamlines customer delivery services with Intergis GPS Vehicle Tracking

Since 1963, Pilgrim Furniture has been serving the Littleton, New Hampshire area with quality home furnishings. The company was using a manual routing, scheduling, and cubing process that would take several hours a day. The warehouse manager would build routes based on estimations of time to deliver and other factors. Drivers were left to find customers’ homes and locations throughout New England. Pilgrim Furniture called each customer the night before a delivery to confirm the estimated arrival time.

The Intergis-powered automated processes of routing, scheduling and cubing has been reduced from several hours to ten minutes a day. Driver overtime has been virtually eliminated. Pilgrim is able to use the customer notification personnel for other tasks in the store. Overall, the Pilgrim Furniture operations runs much smoother with the warehouse staff, showroom workers and drivers all sharing the same real-time information.
