Moon Services finds Intergis Mobile Resource Management out of this world

HVAC company realizes $18,000 in savings per year in reduced overtime costs

Moon Services, a 20-year old heating and air-conditioning company, supports rural residential and businesses in the Baltimore, Maryland to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania corridor.

Moon Services’ interest in a Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solution grew from its desire to increase customer retention and put a reliable tool into place that could easily and clearly resolve customer disputes.

Based on its calculations, Moon was “losing over $20,000 a year because of unnecessary overtime and customer disputes that could not be reconciled,” says Steve Moon, president of Moon Services. Scheduled maintenance reminders help the company keep its fleet in tip-top condition, saving money and reducing unanticipated downtime.

Visibility into its fleet – one of the features on Moon’s wish list – allows management to locate vehicles easily either in real-time or in playback, invaluable when needing documentation to show customers. Even when vehicles go out of wireless range, the system forwards activity information as soon as it returns to a wireless coverage area.

Moon Services has not only achieved the primary objectives of increasing customer retention and decreasing customer disputes, but it also increased fleet efficiency and reduced expenses.
